Durban is really speaking to me at the moment...through the people I meet and the places I visit. One such place is Last Chance Books in Gordon Road.
You might miss it if you blink, but look again and be sure to visit. You can almost feel the history that lives within the books housed there...all ready to share their story.
I specifically enjoyed the large insurance plans of Durban where I literally got to see our city mapped out circa 1931. The pages give great insight into the streets, buildings and places...names like Piccadilly Cinema popped up, amongst others. What I wouldn't do to roam the city streets in those days. All I would need is a pretty frock, gloves and a clutch bag for a night out on the town.
